Interswitch Financial Inclusion Services Limited (IFIS), is a newly established subsidiary joint venture between Beyond Branches, Growing Businesses Capital and Interswitch Limited. The Company was established to ensure increased agent activity in the delivery of financial and related value adding services outside the traditional channels, through additional financial access points within Nigeria and across Africa.

To support its objectives of growth and sustained profitability, IFIS is looking for result oriented, passionate, performance driven and innovative leaders to fill the Senior Management position below:

Job Position: Unit Head, Sales – Consumer

Job Description

  • Reporting to the Head, Business Development, the successful candidate will articulate and facilitate the implementation of an effective sales strategy in order to meet defined Consumer revenue targets.
  • He/she will ensure the use of IFIS’s services and channels meet the specific needs of each customer segment and champion the penetration of IFIS consumer services.

Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure the usage of IFIS services and channels by putting together solutions that meet the specific needs of each customer segment.
  • Work with customers’ interaction and engagement to drive engagement of consumers converted to IFIS services.
  • Drive revenue through creative sales techniques with strong public relations leadership and client and employee relations skills.
  • Conduct sales calls while targeting result oriented high revenue potential sales calls to ensure success.
  • Handle relationship management between IFIS and SVA (Stored Valued Account) merchants.
  • Plan and implement an ongoing targeted account list to create new revenue and acquire valuable contacts.
  • Drive revenue through creative sales techniques with strong public relations leadership and client and employee relations skills.
  • Engage pre-payment partners and aggregators for reselling of products (e.g. airtime resellers).
  • Manage relationships with SMEs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all customers and perform regular customer visits using structured visitation plans.

Key Requirements

  • A good first degree or its equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing or other related Social Sciences from a reputable institution.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience.
  • Sound product/service knowledge and application.
  • Good project management and solution design skills.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Strong Relationship management skills.
