Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of HND/ Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences such as Business Admin, Economics Taxation, Law.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in tax administration Must be personable and courteous
  • Must be proficient in the use of micro soft
  • Must be a lean’ player responsible. self-motivated and able to work under pressure and goal oriented.

Job Title: Revenue Officer 2

Job Description

  • Keeping adequate record of payees In the Area Office.
  • Conduct research, gathering data and statistical report and maintain statistical information of payees in the Area Office,
  • Meet revenue target and protect improvement through scientific analysis.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of HND/ Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences such as Business Admin, Economics.
  • At least 2 years’ experience.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft words.

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Job Description

  • Responsible for verification and computation of assessment forms.
  • Maintaining an excellent client relation with existing and potentials clients.
  • To contribute to the implementation of the strategic tax plan of the Area office.

Knowledge, Skills and Competences

  • Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Admin, Economics, Taxation, Law and other related fields in the addition to a relevant professional qualification.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in Tax administration.
  • Must be personable, and courteous,
  • Must possess good inter-personal skills.
  • Team player, responsible sell-motivated and able to work under pressure and goals oriented.

Job Title: Area Tax Manager

Job Description
The Area Tax Manager will be.

  • Responsible for the management of Area office
  • Handle the complaints arising from the area
  • Ensure adherence to the area policies
  • Maintain tax data base

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • University Degree-preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or relevant field
  • Must be a member of any of the following professional bodies;
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or ACCA, CIPFA. ICMA(UK)SIAA,CITN, ICAEN, CPA,ANAN,
  • Holders of Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven ability to implement policies of the Board Must be highly organized
  • Must be Business focused but stilt possessing strong human problem solving skill with demonstrated ability to apply relationship skill including tact and discretion

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Reporting to the area manager:

  • Ensure prompt collation and reconciliation of tax returns
  • Carry out periodic investigation to ensure compliance with policies
  • Address complaints from the payees.
  • Set workable target to subordinate
  • Lead and manage revenue drive team in the Area office,

Knowledge, Skills and Competences

  • At least 9 years experience
  • Attention to definable discretion and integrity.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Social Science or related field from a reputable educational institution.
  • Must be a member of any of the following professional bodies;
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) or ACCA, CIPFA, ICMA(UK) SIAA.CITN, ICAENCPA, ANAN.
  • Must possess planning and organizational skills to co-ordinate other revenue officers
  • Proficiency in the use of macro-soft, The knowledge of imnciows 365 a definite plus
  • Attention to details, discretion and integrity.

Job Title: Head, ICT
Location:
 Kogi
Job Description
Working with the service business groups and unit Head of lCT shall:

  • Advise on data processing and other ICT related matters
  • Takes charge of administration of the directorate
  • Responsible for data processing, network I hardware infrastructure arid development plans
  • Liaise with relevant agencies to update CT -applications of the Service Tax Database

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Must possess a Degree in relevant field of studies, ICT, Statistics and Mathematics.
  • Must be a member of any professional bodies
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience at least 4 of which must be in supervisory level.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven ability to implement/ execute policies through the application current ICT modutos,
  • Must be highly organized
  • Effective presentation and Analytical skills
  • Ability to work on hisI her own initiative without breaching service policy and approved ICT manuals,
  • Must be prudent with sound financial discipline.

Job Title: Head, Tax Operations
Location:
 Kogi
Job Description
Working with the Service business groups and unit Head of Tax Operation shall:

  • Takes charge of administration of the directorate
  • Responsible for tax assessment and Remittance from all sources
  • Advising management on tax policies
  • Responsible for developing new operational tax policies for the Service
  • Undertaking periodic inspection duties
  • Serving inthe Technical Committee of KIRS

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Must be a holder of Master Degree in relevant field.
  • Must be a member of any of the following professional bodies ICAN,ACCA. ICPF, ICMA(UK), ICPA,ANAN
  • Minimum of 20 years work experience directly in Tax Administration and at least 10 years of which has been of Supervlsory/Management level.
  • Previous experience in consulting is desirable.

Essential skills:

  • Proven ability to implement/ execute tax policies of the Service
  • Ability to articulate his/ her Initiative withoult breaching tax policies and Service rules end regulations.
  • Proven experience in direct management and supervision of Tax Team
  • Must be highly proficient in IT applications

Job Title: Head, Finance and Accounts
Location:

Job Description
Working with the Service business groups and unit the Head of Finance and Accounts shalt:

  • Participate within the executive management team
  • He/she wilt plan, implement and develop the Finance team operating procedure
  • To effectively manage and control all capital and revenue budgets, among others
  • To lead and manage the Financial Team.
  • Advise the Chief Executive / Accounting officer and other Departmental Reads on financial regulations.
  • Establish strong Accounting System with appropriate in-built control for the Service
  • Manage all funds and monies due and receivable in the Service
  • Serving as a member of tender Board of the Service and advising on financial implication of contract terms,
  • Directing replies and advising the Accounting Officer on Audit and Public Accounts Committee queries.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Must be a holder of Master Degree in relevant field.
  • Must be a member of any of the following professional bodies ICAN, ACCA, ICPF, ICMA (UK), ICPA, ANAN.
  • Minimum of 20 years work experience directly in financial Administration and at least 1 year-s of which has been of Supervisory/Management level.
  • Previous experience in consulting is desirable.

  • Manage Annual Service staff training budget recommend. implement and report on the approved training programs
  • Develop and implement best fit career and succession planning framework end provide career counseling to members of staff. Develop lob descriptions for all new position, review and revise existing Job description as appropriate,
  • Proactively report on, and advise Executive Management Committee on all strategic HR issues,
  • Drive the Imbibing and harmonization of preferred culture,
  • Oversees supervision of facilities management including support staff and drivers.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Must have Master’s Degree in Humanities, Social Sciences
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local and global HR landscape-law practices changes
  • Must be a member of professional body.
  • Minimum of 20 years work experience directly in HR at least 10 of which has been of Supervisory / Management level.

Working with the Service business groups and unit Head of Tax Operation shall:

  • Takes charge of the administration of the department
  • Advising the Service on the formulation, execution and the review of audit policies and programs
  • Defining and documenting the objectives of the department
  • Performing such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Must be a holder of Master Degree in relevant field.
  • Must be a member of any of the following professional bodies ICAN, ACCA, ICPF, ICMA (UK). ICPA. ANAN, CITN RISK MGT CERT.
  • Minimum of 20 years work experience directly in Audit Administration and at least 10 years of which has been of Supervisory/Management level,
  • Previous experience in consulting is desirable

Essential skills:

  • Proven ability to implement / Execute Audit Potcies of the Service
  • Effective presentation skill of Audit data
  • Ability to work on his/her own initiative without breaching Audit policies of the Service

Job Title: Head, Legal Services
Location:

Job Description
Working with the Service business groups and unit Head of Legal Services shall:

  • He/she shall advise the Service on at aspects of legal matters including formulation, execution and review of Legal policies and programs.
  • Shall perform the function of Company Secretary including overseeing the Service Tender Board Secretariat
  • Takes charge of general administration of the Legal Department

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Must be a holder of BL, LIB, LLM
  • Minimum of 20 years in the bar
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Local and Global Tax Landscape- Law, Practices and changes
  • Previous experience in consulting on tax Administration is desirable.

Essential Skill:

  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
  • Effective presentation skills and confident speaker
  • Must be highly organized
  • Ability to initiate and take legal opinion on behalf of the Service without breaching laws of the Federal Republic and the Service
  • Must have budget arid budgetary planning Skills to manage resources
  • Sound negotiation skills
  • Must be proficient in basic IT applications.
