Job Title: Female Interior Designer
Job Description

Core purpose of the Job:

  • Contribute effectively to Business Development by being involved in the design or renovation of internal spaces, including structural alterations, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, lighting and colour schemes.

Task Complexity
You are expected to contribute meaningfully towards team target achievement by:

  • Develop initial ideas and acquire key information about potential projects, discuss requirements in detail with clients (the brief) and set project schedules;
  • Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software;
  • Work in a team with other designers;
  • Supervise work at the design stage and on-site;
  • Work closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects, with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space, and with manufacturers and contractors;
  • Identify new business and sell services to potential clients;
  • Keep up to date with new developments in the design industry.
  • Understand clients’ needs and the needs of the people using the building to develop design concepts and establish final briefs;
  • Consider materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiate project fees;
  • Conduct feasibility studies for projects;
  • Research and gather information and photographs relating to the project;
  • Produce ‘sample’ or ‘mood’ boards to present to clients;
  • Source products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, and provide samples for clients;

  • Good drawing skills, including perspective drawing and spatial awareness;

  • Knowledge of the wider construction and design industries;
  • Project management skills, including the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;

Job Specification (Experience & Training)

  • Academic and Professional: First Degree in Architecture/ Interior Designs / Fine art/ Furniture design/ Graphic Design/ Product Design/ Textile design, a Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-4 Years’ Experience In a similar role.

Job Title: Assistant Showroom Manager
Job Descriptions

  • Contribute effectively to Business Development by taking on the responsibility of assisting the Showroom Manager in the day to day running of the Showroom, to ensure that the Showroom is visually merchandised to an excellent standard and to ensure that the highest levels of Customer Service are given at all times.
  • To manage, motivate and develop the team to ensure that targets are exceeded.

Task Complexity
You are expected to contribute meaningfully towards team target achievement by:

  • Understanding the Organizations’ customers’ and market need;
  • Developing compelling concept papers and proposals that meet the needs of customers and funding organizations;
  • Closing on new business opportunities:
  • Deliver monthly Store sales objectives, both through individual selling and cooperating within a team selling environment
  • Drive profitability and be aware of all Store operating metrics
  • Working with customers coming into the store on designs and selling them solutions.
  • Work special store events for consumers or designers
  • Handle financial sales transactions
  • Comply with safety rules
  • Comply with environmental regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
