Environmental Development and Family Health Organization – Established and registered in 1998 as a charitable, non-profit and non-governmental Organization, Environmental Development and Family Health Organization (EDFHO) was established to address series of environmental problems, Health and poverty trait in the faces of greater percentage of the population those who formed the core members of the organization today saw these problems as a challenge and a call to assist the under -privileged people of the state.

Environmental Development and Family Health Organization is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Kogi

Job Description

  • Establish and maintain financial and management procedures for EDFHO projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as relating to financial Rules and Regulation.
  • Prepare and review detailed budgets for approval.
  • Make regular reports to donors on income, expenditure and any variation from budgets.
  • Ensure that all financial reporting obligations are met in relation to submission for funding, for grant aid, for contract and any other initiatives.
  • Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored.
  • Advise on proper allocation of resources.
  • Ensure that appropriate financial regulation and controls are in place and in use at all times.

Requirements

  • S/He must have a degree in Accounting, Public Administration, or related field.
  • The idea candidate will be highly proficient in the use of computer, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word, etc with thorough understanding of professional accounting principles, theories, practices, and terminology.
  • Any other professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Job Title: Nutrition Officer

Location: Kogi

Job Description

  • S/He will be responsible for identifying priority issues on nutrition within EDFHO’s project areas; train community care coordinators, volunteers, and care givers on providing adequate nutrition to their children base on locally available food sources.
  • Conduct nutritional baseline assessment for children, mentor and monitor programs with reference to nutrition.
  • Lead all training relating to Nutrition, attend the Nutrition community of practice meeting, lead the private sector linkages and attend core training on Nutrition and ensure information is disseminated and used in the field.
  • Relate with EDFHO’s technical team on issues regarding Nutrition in EDFHO project areas.

Requirements

  • S/He must have a nursing degree/background, food & nutrition, or any other relevant degree with 2 years practical experience on the job.
